David Dow is a multimedia artist with special interest in watercolor, acrylic, and photography. He graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a B.A in art with emphasis in photography and holds a M.A, in Education. He worked with three companies in Honduras, Central america doing commercial art and photography. He was hired by the Honuran Tourist Institute to photograph many parts of the country for presentations, post cards, posters, and brochures. His photographs have been featured in exhibits in Honduras and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, California.
He returned to the United States to raise a family and begin a career in education. David has taught junior high, high school and adults. He has taught photography, design, drawing, and painting. Hos students' have won many awards for their artwork. Every year, several of David's students' works have been chosen as among the top ten artworks in Orange County for each student's grade level. David has been listed on the Orange County Honor Roll of Art Teachers every year since 1989, as published by the Laguna Art Festival.
David is no longer teaching in the public schools and is dedicating more time to his own painting and photography. He has recently joined local art associations and his works have already begun winning awards.
David's varied artworks cause us to pause and take in the beauty, interest, and excitement God has placed around every day.
