Preferring plein-air, Bette worked with watercolor in Colorado for two years after she retired. Recently, returning to Anaheim where she was raised to spend time with her 90 year old mother, she has been painting in acylic and oil paints. Her work is currently on display at the Anaheim and Brookhusat Community Centers. She serves on the board of the Anaheim Art Association and recently joined the Garden Grove Art Association and won first place in their competition. Bette really enjoys supporting the arts by volunteeringat the New Muzeo in Anaheim and teaching a children's painting class in Huntington Beach. She has considered herself a "flower child" since attending San Jose State in the "60's." Her major was commercial art with an interest in writing children's stories. She enjoyed creating manyfor her six children and intends to continue in that field. Her company is named Home Sweet Home with the world as her logo.
